On June 19, 2024, the 5th Belt and Road Advanced Economic and Trade Legal Talent Internship Base Program Report Salon and Appointment Ceremony at Joius was successfully held. Mr. Okwudili, a lawyer from Nigeria and a master's degree student at East China University of Political Science and Law, completed his internship at Joius and was appointed as a foreign legal consultant for two years. The founding partner, Mr.Ding, who is the director of the Jing'an Lawyers Working Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association, senior partner Mr.Guo, partner Mr.Wen, and Joius lawyers of international legal departments participated in this salon. Lawyer Mr. Zhang from the Intellectual Property Department (Dispute Resolution Department 3) presided over this event.

After sharing his internship experience, Mr. Okwudili brought up a specific topic sharing of "Comparison of Nigerian and Chinese Company Laws: Analysis of the Equity Contribution Process", which was thought-provoking and rich in content and provided a valuable comparative perspective. Mr. Okwudili deeply analyzed the similarities and differences between the two countries' company laws in terms of the legislative framework, establishment of new companies, registered capital requirements, foreign investment access requirements, and future development trends of SMEs. He specifically discussed the support for labor contribution in Nigeria.

After the report, Mr.Ding awarded the appointment letter to Mr. Okwudili. Mr.Ding first thanked Mr. Okwudili for his contributions during his internship at Joius. Mr. Okwudili's company law sharing based on his own lawyer practice experience was very detailed and beneficial. With the existence of Joius Law Firm Warsaw office, Mr. Okwudili's appointment as a foreign legal consultant will further help Joius enrich and expand the breadth and depth of "Belt and Road" legal services.

Since September 2017, when the cooperation agreement was signed by the Jing'an District Justice Bureau, the graduate school of East China University of Political Science and Law, and the Jing'an Lawyers Working Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association, the Belt and Road Advanced Economic and Trade Legal Talent Internship Base Program has been successfully held for 5 consecutive sessions. Nearly 70 students from all over the world have entered more than ten boutique law firms in Jing'an, including Joius, for "zero-distance" learning and experience of China's legal system and legal practice, which has greatly promoted the exchange of international legal talents.
